Yes, all our melt-making waxes are 100% vegan and cruelty-free. They contain no animal-derived ingredients and are never tested on animals, giving you clean, ethical results every time.

What type of wax is best for making melts?

Soy and blended waxes are the most popular choices because they hold fragrance well and release scent beautifully. Our melt-making kits use high-quality waxes chosen for smooth performance and excellent hot throw.

Do I need to cure my wax melts?

Yes, curing helps your fragrance settle properly into the wax. Most melts benefit from a cure time of 48 hours to two weeks depending on the fragrance strength and wax type.

How much fragrance oil should I use in wax melts?

Most melt-safe waxes perform well between 6 - 10% fragrance load. Always follow the manufacturer’s guidelines and check your CLP requirements before scaling production.

Can I add colours, mica, and glitter?

Absolutely. Wax melts are perfect for colour play and decoration. Just keep additives light so they don’t affect melt consistency or CLP labelling requirements.

Why is my wax melt cracking or frosting?

This is usually caused by pouring too hot or cooling too quickly. Allow your melt trays to cool at room temperature and avoid placing them in the fridge to speed up setting.

How long do wax melts last?

Finished melts typically hold their scent for months when stored somewhere cool and away from direct sunlight. Their performance in warmers varies, but most deliver several hours of strong fragrance per use.

Do you offer CLP templates for wax melts?

Yes, you’ll find CLP templates covering all fragrance oils in your order. Every document is updated with each new batch so you’re fully compliant when selling to the public.

Can I make melts to sell using your kits?

Definitely. Our melt-making kits use the same professional-quality fragrance oils and waxes trusted by small businesses nationwide. Just follow CLP guidance and test each scent combination thoroughly before launching.

How long will it take to receive my order?

All delivery times stated at checkout are a guide only and are based on the time it will take from date of dispatch. Please allow additional time for dispatch and delivery during peak seasons and bad weather.

Is there a minimum order requirement?

No minimums here! We believe in catering to all our customers, whether you're just starting out or running a full-fledged business. From single-item purchases to large bulk orders, we welcome and value every order, big or small. 

Do I need to be a business to order?

Definitely not! We welcome everyone at NI Candle Supplies, from the home hobbyist crafting for themselves to the big hitters in town stocking the high street stores.

Do you offer free shipping?

Indeed we do! For deliveries within Northern Ireland,free shipping is available for orders of £99or more (excluding VAT). For Mainland UK and the Republic of Ireland,free shipping is available on orders over £199before VAT. This offer excludes full cartons of wax and will be automatically applied at checkout when the conditions are met.

Will I have to pay Customs charges on delivery?

We operate out of Northern Ireland, which means we're still part of the EU for Customs purposes. If you're shopping from the UK, ROI or anywhere in the European Union, there won't be any additional customs charges. However, for other international destinations, any potential customs charges will be the responsibility of the customer.

Can I visit your warehouse to smell the scents before I buy?

Not right now — our warehouse isn’t open to visits. We’re planning a showroom for 2026, so keep an eye on our socials for the opening announcement.
