As many of you are already aware, there is on-going industrial action occurring within the Royal Mail and Parcelforce networks while the CMU continues to push for improved working conditions for their members.
Unfortunately, no business is immune to the flow on effect this action is having, with the ramifications being felt even more so than usual during the festive season.
On-Going Industrial Action:
It is important to be aware, industrial action is on-going with both Royal Mail and Parcelforce; with no end to the disruptions in sight presently. Currently, the CMU have advised further stop-work action will be taken on the following days:
- Friday 23rd December
- Saturday 24th December
The following services are impacted as a result:
- UK - Mainland & Highlands via Parcelforce
- UK - Northern Ireland via Parcelforce
- Euro Priority
- Euro Economy
- Republic of Ireland via Parcelforce
- All free shipping options where applicable
- All Royal Mail services - we would strongly advise choosing the Tracked 24 option, however please note while this service is the quickest option; it will still take longer than 24 hours to be delivered
Please factor delays into your timeline when ordering.
Should you be based in Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland, we would suggest collecting your orders from our warehouse in Warrenpoint if it is feasible to do so.
For customers based further afield, we offer DHL as an alternative solution outside the UK. Within the UK, alternative options are limited through ourselves, however you are welcome to utilise your own courier to collect from our warehouse by selecting collection at checkout.
We understand these interruptions are frustrating to everyone at the busiest time of the year for our makers. Our team are doing their absolute best to despatch orders as quickly as possible and we ask that they are treated with kindness and respect during a difficult phase that is outside of our control.
