We understand there are concerns and confusion about shopping with us from Great Britain and the EU post-Brexit. Thanks to your feedback via our recent survey, allow us to dispel any worries – it's actually quite simple!
Additional Customs Charges:
The bottom line is, so long as your order is being shipped within the island of Ireland, Great Britain or the EU; there are no additional Customs processes and no additional charges payable; we expand on this further for each location below:
For our GB Customers:
As we are located in Northern Ireland, Brexit has had no effect on shipping and there are no extra duties or taxes when you are shopping with us! Even better, we offer free delivery to mainland UK on orders over £199* (exc. VAT).
For our EU Customers:
We continue to remain part of the EU for customs, so you can shop without the fear of additional duties or taxes. Free delivery also applies to ROI on orders over £199* (exc. VAT).
For our NI Customers:
As you might expect – no customs or duties apply to you either! And we offer free delivery to all customers in NI on orders over £99.
So, as you can see shipping from us is nice and easy with no unexpected headaches or costs on arrival. Plus, all our fragrances come with CLP & UFI compliance and documentation!
Lastly, we'd like to address a few other concerns raised via our survey feedback as follows:
Shipping Costs:
We know shipping costs have increased over the last couple of years, and it would be easy to think this is a direct result of Brexit but there are other factors at play. Business Leader confirms courier costs have increased by more than 9% over the past year, with the main contributing factors being driver shortages, inflation and rising energy costs. These cost increases aren't unique to our business alone, however we are working hard with our suppliers to limit increases wherever possible including having negotiated a freeze on rates with Parcelforce through until the end of 2023.
Order Collections:
Feedback suggests a few of our makers aren't aware that we have resumed our collection service, this can be selected quickly and easily on the checkout page. Once selected, we will prepare your order and send you an email letting you know once it is ready to collect from our warehouse in Warrenpoint. It is also possible to use this option if you wish to arrange your own courier, simply select pick up and add a note stating that a courier will be collecting on your behalf; so we can correctly package your order.
Service options to Europe:
When placing smaller orders with us to Europe, you may have noticed an option to select the DHL Packet Tracked or DHL Packet Plus service - this will often be the cheapest service available (please note this option does not appear for items over 2kg). It is important to note, this is also our slowest service option and can take longer than the expected delivery time for orders to be received; as they move via the postal service in each country.
Given the service is designed as an economical option for items that aren't time sensitive; we would suggest that you only use this service when you are not in a hurry for your items.
When balancing up speed with cost, our best service option is either Euro Priority or Euro Economy depending on where you are located and when time is of the essence, then we would suggest using the DHL Express Worldwide option.
